There are two main categories of allergies that patients experience – food and environmental. At our AOC Little Rock Allergy Clinic, our Allergy team provides allergy testing and treatment for these allergies.
Food Allergy Testing & Treatment
Some of the most common food allergies include milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, wheat, tree nuts and fish. In order to identify and diagnose these food allergies, our team can perform either a skin test or a blood allergy test. If it is determined that the patient is allergic to a specific food, our team will consult with the patient to determine the best way to manage the allergy. Environmental Allergy Testing & Treatment
Common environmental allergies include pollen, dust, pet dander, and mold. Our allergy team may use a prick skin allergy test to identify if the patient is allergic to any of these items. Once the results are received, the patient will meet with our allergy doctor to determine the best treatment plan.
